This is Nicholas Ammon Ballif before he left for his mission. Notice there is no missionary tag. He was called to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by the prophet Thomas S. Monson for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Indiana Indianapolis Mission. He reported June 17, 2015 at 12:30 p.m. He was whisked away by a sister missionary at the Provo Missionary Training Center who let us take pictures for one minute. His mom cried for a few minutes, then stopped. Then a few minutes later she cried for a few minutes, then stopped. This is to be expected because Elder Ballif will be gone for 2 years. That is a long time, in case you didn’t already figure that out. Elder Ballif stayed at the MTC for 11 days and then flew to Indianapolis where he met with Elder and Sister Cleveland, his mission president couple in Carmel, Indiana. He was then sent to Kokomo Indiana. He was paired up with a trainer missionary, who is also very young and energetic named Elder Christianson.
